The bird is common near Zanderij airport where it will search in
trees for small fruit.More than three quarter of the observations
of this tanager were made near Zanderij airport, a savannah area
where the birds can be found in groups of three or four
individuals. The second picture was taken there by Foek Chin Joe.
Each small square indicates the observation of at least one (group) of these birds, the medium ones at least 4 observations on different days and the largest ones 10 or more. The color of each square indicates: blue for coastal area, yellow for savanna and red for rainforest.
