The first photo was made by Willem Bakker in Suriname in April 2009, the second one by Pascal Dubois in French Guyane (Côté Nature). The young birds have some blue in their feathers, older males are blue above. The birds are very common in Suriname. ten thousands can be found sleeping together with other members of the same genus (family) on electricity wires especially near Paranam.
