White-crowned manakin

White-crowned manakin, saltarin, male

Photo of a male white-crowned manakin, made by J.S. Dunning in Guyana. Then two pictures made by Brian O'Shea in the Ralleighfalls nature reserve in Suriname in 2002; a male and a female. These manakins are common in the understory of the forests of the interior, where they eat berries. This is a very short high-pitched sound of a White-crowned Manakin, taped by Otte Ottema.
