Ochre-bellied FlycatcherBirds in Suriname


The two pictures of a Ochre-bellied Flycatcher were made by Dennis Binda in Suriname in 2008. You can often hear the sound of a ochre-bellied flycatcher, to outline his territory. It was recorded by Otte Ottema at Bakhuis in 2006. When a male enters another males territory, they will chase each other through the forest. It has a habit a raising its wings.

Each small square indicates the observation of at least one (group) of these birds, the medium ones at least 4 observations on different days and the largest ones 10 or more. The color of each square indicates: blue for coastal area, yellow for savanna and red for rainforest.
