The first photo was made by Foek Chin Joe at Afobaka in October 2007. Follows a photo made by Pascal Dubois in French Guyane (Côté Nature). The Piratic flycatcher is found in open terrain on top of small trees, usually making a lot of noise. Its name "Piratic" comes from the habit of taking over other birds nests. Not visible on these two photos is its streaked yellow breast.
Each small square indicates the observation of at least one (group) of these birds, the medium ones at least 4 observations on different days and the largest ones 10 or more. The color of each square indicates: blue for coastal area, yellow for savanna and red for rainforest.
