Photo of a male fasciated antshrike, made by Candy McManiman along the Mazaroni Road in the Brownsberg nature park in Suriname in 2005. The female has more brown and rufous. It is a bird of the interior and can regularly be seen and heard in the Raleigh Falls nature reserve and the Brownsberg nature park. It eats all kinds of insects, not only ants.
